An iOS expense tracker from the MileIQ team, launched in October 2018 as a Microsoft Garage project. It pulled purchases from your linked cards automatically. You matched receipts, categorized and tagged expenses, and exported them for reimbursement or taxes. The Garage experiment has since ended.

After Microsoft acquired MileIQ, Spend was the next app in the IQ suite. It took on small business expensing, tied it to mileage and visits, and set out to automate the admin. That meant auto-classification, machine learning that improved with your data, and OCR that read receipts. I owned inception, strategy, the core experience and the design system, then handed it to junior designers as a growth opportunity. It launched on iOS through Microsoft Garage in 2018.
